Mississauga, ON — October 2026
J-SAS, a Canadian cybersecurity and compliance company based in Mississauga, Ontario, is celebrating 15 years in business. Founded in 2012, J-SAS began by building secure software and has grown into a trusted partner that helps organizations make security and compliance understandable, achievable and easier to maintain. Today, municipalities, software companies and organizations across the supply chain rely on J-SAS to turn complex requirements into clear, finished work.
Fifteen years of delivery is what customers count on when the stakes are high. It is also the foundation for what comes next.
J-SAS began as a software company, building secure technology that organizations could depend on. As customer needs grew, so did the business: from software, to custom software development services, to a platform of its own.
“J-SAS has evolved to meet changing market demands and customer needs,” said Sase Janki, Co-Founder and CEO of J-SAS. “We started in software, expanded into custom software development services, and then added our own platform. That took us from being a services company to being both a services and a product company.”
The reach of that work is significant. The J-SAS Digital Identity & Access Management platform, built for the supply chain, serves more than 130,000 organizations and 100,000 users.
J-SAS has also applied its software expertise to public-sector transparency. Lobby Registry, a platform owned and built by J-SAS, gives municipalities a cost-effective, turn-key way to demonstrate transparency to their constituents, with data stored in a secure cloud environment in Canada.
Working alongside organizations of every size also showed the team how demanding the compliance journey can be, because J-SAS lived it too as a growing business. That experience shaped what came next.
“We built our compliance offering because we experienced firsthand how challenging that journey is, for us and for other small businesses,” said Ryan Devers, VP, Product Strategy at J-SAS. “We saw cybersecurity needs evolving, and we knew our expertise could help close the gap for the organizations we work with.”
That decision gave J-SAS its defining idea: Compliance Made Easy. The company pairs experienced security and compliance professionals with ProtechSuite, its own governance, risk and compliance platform. ProtechSuite brings risks, controls, policies, evidence and reporting into one clear view, while J-SAS helps organizations understand what applies, close the gaps that matter and demonstrate their security posture with confidence.
Through Compliance as a Service (CaaS), J-SAS acts as program lead for security and privacy frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PIPEDA and HIPAA. The team sequences the work, guides internal owners, reviews evidence before it reaches the auditor and keeps the process moving through completion.
J-SAS also helps Microsoft-first organizations get more from the tools they already own. Its Microsoft Security and Compliance Governance service assesses Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview and Azure environments, translates findings into business priorities, completes the agreed remediation and keeps the environment governed as technology and risk change. The portfolio also includes threat and risk assessments, penetration testing, fractional CIO and CISO leadership, and AI Process Optimization.
“The differentiation we brought to the market is aligning compliance with security,” Janki said. “Instead of treating them as separate disciplines, we bring them together. That is something you do not get from a pure-play security company or a pure-play compliance product.”
J-SAS also meets the standards it helps others achieve. It is a Microsoft Partner, has completed a SOC 2 Type II examination (see the J-SAS Trust Centre), and is listed in the Buy Canadian Cyber directory of Canadian cybersecurity companies.
The next chapter is built on momentum. J-SAS sees artificial intelligence as the largest opportunity ahead, and intends to help customers lead that change rather than react to it.
“Artificial intelligence is the biggest opportunity in front of us,” Janki said. “It is going to change how our customers work, what they need and how they buy. We intend to be ahead of that change, helping them adopt it with security and governance built in.”
Growth is the priority, pursued with the same discipline that has carried the company this far.
“Growth is top of mind, and we are pursuing it deliberately,” Janki said. “We are balancing new initiatives, resources and investment so that we keep delivering the quality our customers expect.”
For Devers, growth means reaching more of the organizations that can benefit from what J-SAS has built.
“I am looking forward to getting the word out to more organizations about what J-SAS can do for them,” he said. “We can make them more secure with services tailored to their needs, and help them level up their defenses and open the doors that strong security makes possible.”
For 15 years, organizations have trusted J-SAS to take the part of security and compliance that feels hardest and make it manageable. The next 15 years will build on that trust.
